Collecting vinyl is a little hobby of mine. I love going to flea markets and discover amazing records from the ’70 or ’80, but I also buy new vinyl every once in a while. Of course I’m not the only one, and there are tons of people where the love for vinyl goes much deeper. Those people will love To Have & To Hold, ” a 90 min ‘musicmentory’ to celebrate the age of vinyl records…including interviews, fresh graphics and good music (directed by Jony Lyle for Goosepimple Productions 2010).” A little preview of what to expect:
There’s also a Facebook page where you can stay tuned for the latest updates and pictures.
In a few weeks I’ll be going to New York City for 9 days and I can’t wait! I’m so much looking forward to see my flatmate who has been studying there for a few months now (she will come back soon though). I’m also very much looking forward to be reunited with my flatmate and best friend from my Copenhagen days, who is lucky enough to live in that great city. More recently, I met an American guy in Amsterdam who happens to be back in NY when I’m there, perfect timing so I can join his birthday celebrations! Of course I’m also looking forward to the shopping, Central Park, Williamsburg, museums and just walking around in the city itself. Here’s a picture of me there two years ago…

Let me introduce to you Jenny Lane, a wonderful Amsterdam based artist. Saw her as a background singer for Anouk last year, and now will finally be able to see her in Paradiso since her own tour will start soon! This song is my favourite, have already heard it more than 70 times the past three days (according to my iTunes counter). Enjoy!
A few weeks ago I decided to take on the challenge of running 10k. Nothing special you might think, if it wasn’t for the fact that 1. I absolutely hate running 2. I had never done it in my entire life 3. I have 7 weeks to go from absolute beginner to a 10k runner.
In the beginning I was suprised I wasn’t falling apart after half an hour run, so the first week was actually nice (also because I got to buy new shoes). Afterwards it went from missing, to prioritizing, to hate, to hope, to guilt to loathing myself. I have 3 more weeks to get myself ready, so wish me luck!

A: There will be no time for sentiment when the Russians fire a missile at us.
B: If it’s going to be a world with no time for sentiment, Grant, it’s not a world that I want to live in.
If you haven’t yet, go see it. It’s beautiful and it made me cry.
“Our world is increasingly obsessed with regulations, security and commercialism. This threatens our freedom and creativity. That’s why we must reclaim the streets as a place where everybody can simply have fun – without meddling authorities or corporate sponsors. So grab your pillow and join the massive pillow fight on the Dam Square!”

This is going to be so cool! 3rd of April, I’ll be there. You too?
Drinking is an emotional thing. It joggles you out of the standardism of everyday life, out of everything being the same. It yanks you out of your body and your mind and throws you against the wall. A form of suicide where you’re allowed to return to life and begin all over the next day. It’s like killing yourself, and then you’re reborn. I guess I’ve lived about fifteen thousand lives now.

This is exactly what I’ll be doing tonight.
