Queens Day in Amsterdam

Amsterdam flag Museumplein Weird Man

Over a million people, dressed up in orange, sunny weather and free concerts everywhere… That’s a typical Queens Day in Amsterdam! Unlike in other monarchies, we truly celebrate our Queen’s birthday in the entire country. After seven years of working in a restaurant during Queens Day, I finally could go to Amsterdam, where the biggest celebration is. A little impression on what the city looked like on this day can be found here.
